Reflective Narrative
4.1 I became very familiar with research methodologies by the time i finished my thesis. To accomplish that, The class invested much time into providing classes in the library with a librarian to help facilitate research methods (JAPN 404). The teachers had just as much input as well. We would discuss our research difficulties as well as solutions with classmates. We were given hands on tutoring with research that made the process much easier to execute.
4.2 Many of the technologies used in our research development included the vast array of data bases available online. The amount of information at our fingertips is incredibly convenient (if you know how to get it). One of the newest forms of technology was putting our portfolios into digital form which you are reading write now. I was able to do this by listening to lectures and looking at examples provided by students and teachers (WLC 400). Another amazing technology was a program called "Zotero". This was a style of software that automatically organized and recorded academic sources for later use or in real time. There were many apps and gadgets to help the process as well but overall the technology has increased so fast we still need those classes to help us catch up.
4.3 Everything that had to do with our school work revolved around current technology. The teachers curriculum and many resources for our classes were all online on a program called "i-learn". We constantly were using cloud storage through Google Docs and e-mailing each other through PC and phone communications. I was able to produce my scholarly work based on the information given by examples from prestigious universities around the nation as well as specialists in specific fields. This all lead up to the point where you are reading this, without technology not very many people would be able to see my awesome e-portfolio.
