Description
This course is a bridge course from intermediate to advanced Japanese language. It continues development of proficiency in interpersonal, interpretive and presentational modes of communication in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students develop communication strategies and cultural knowledge to prepare for advanced courses. Taught in Japanese.
Narrative
This class focused strictly on new grammar, writing, reading and speaking in more advanced Japanese conversations. The class forced many of us to put in an excess of studying to keep up with the amount of homework involved. I dont think it was the amount of homework but the difficulty level from the jump to a 300 level language class. I learned how to establish different study methods and to utilize my strength in talking with others to form study partners. This was still a fun class because the teachers facilitate it well. we also get many examples of the Japanese culture as well. This class lays at the heart of students that are really sure they want to continue with the Japanese major program.
